Founded in 2012, Virtuous Pedophiles is perhaps the most well-known support option for pedophiles. Their flagship offering is a forum-based peer support group for ages 18+ that boasts over 8000 members and has received endorsements from researchers and therapists. They were among the first pedophile support groups to flatly oppose sexual contact with children, playing a foundational role in the now-commonplace collaborations between pedophile groups and child protection experts. In recent years, they have renewed their efforts to promote visibility for non-offending pedophiles, launching a new service where the public can submit questions for their members to answer and adding a new section for friends and family members on their forum.

MAP Support Club

Peer support

MAP Support Club is a peer support group for pedophiles that started as a Discord server. Although it has since switched platforms, it maintains a similar layout today, making it popular among pedophiles who prefer a real-time chat interface. The group takes a strong stance against abuse, and this is reflected in their affiliation with the Prostasia Foundation, which serves as the group's child protection partner. MAP Support Club is also one of the few places where pedophiles who are under the age of 18 can get support. Anyone older than 13 can join the group, but those under 18 have restrictions on their accounts. The group offers regular in-chat counseling sessions with a licensed mental health professional and is also undergoing an evaluation by researchers to evaluate its impact and suggest improvements.

ASAP

Therapy

Branded as a "therapy and support network for non-offending pedophiles," the Association for Sexual Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is a comprehensive resource for pedophiles seeking professional support. Their Therapist Database lists professionals from over a dozen countries who have indicated that they are willing to work with pedophiles. For more immediate support needs, ASAP also offers a 24/7 peer-support helpline. On top of this, their SwiftStream program provides a more accessible alternative to traditional therapy, allowing clients to meet regularly with a "sexuality consultant" to help them better understand their attractions. In addition to offering resources, they also work to improve support services for pedophiles through workshops centered around training therapists to work with pedophiles.

B4U-ACT

Organization

For over 2 decades, B4U-ACT has worked to break down barriers between pedophiles, researchers, and mental health professionals. Their main support offering for pedophiles consists of a list of therapists in the United States who are open to working with pedophiles. In addition, they run peer support groups for pedophiles as well as their friends and family members. The organization is also extensively involved in research and support initiatives, collaborating on numerous studies and holding regular group discussions to help therapists better understand the support needs of pedophiles. They recently sought to expand this involvement with the launch of their quarterly research review journal.

Prostasia Foundation

Organization

The Prostasia Foundation is a child protection organization that centers research and input from experts in its approach. As part of this, they work to connect pedophiles who may be at risk of harming a child with support resources via their Get Help page. They also serve as the child protection partner of MAP Support Club, a popular peer support group for pedophiles. The organization also makes a point of noting and attempting to address various factors that prevent pedophiles from seeking help. In addition to simply sharing resources, they offer financial support to pedophiles who are struggling to afford therapy through a dedicated fund.

Talking for Change

Therapy

Talking for Change provides pedophiles in certain regions of Canada with free therapy from trained clinicians. Each therapist involved is also part of the team researching the effectiveness of the program. The organization also provides anonymous support via a nationwide helpline (which can be accessed by phone or online chat) for pedophiles who are not ready or willing to seek professional support.

Stop It Now

Helpline

Stop It Now is a child sexual abuse prevention nonprofit that works to provide adults with guidance and resources to keep kids safe. This includes maintaining a 24/7 helpline where pedophiles can get support if they have concerns about their attractions or need help finding professional support. They previously worked with MAP Support Club to provide regular in-chat counseling sessions, though this partnership has since ended and the sessions are now provided by another practitioner. The organization also has educational materials and lists of additional support resources on its website, but these are typically not as up-to-date or comprehensive as the material provided by pedophile-focused groups.

Help Wanted

Self-help

Created primarily for younger pedophiles, Help Wanted is a self-help tool designed by the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. It consists of a series of interactive learning modules that focus on the different mental health and social challenges faced by many pedophiles. Users are also provided with advice and guidance as they progress through the course. Help Wanted is the subject of ongoing research by the Moore Center, and it continues to be updated based on feedback from pedophiles who have used it.
