Privacy Policy

At Help for Pedophiles, we believe privacy concerns should never prevent someone from seeking support. This policy lists the reasons we collect data and what types of data are included. Where possible, we have also outlined steps you can take to further protect your information.

Automatic data collection

All websites use some basic information about your device to allow you to access their contents. This includes your IP address and the timezone on your device. We only use this data while you are accessing our site, however, some servers may keep a log of it indefinitely.

When possible, we will ask our hosting provider to delete this log once an hour. However, some providers may not accept or honor such requests. We consider this data to be fairly low-risk, but if you are concerned about it, you can use a VPN to ensure it is not directly tied to your device.

Data for analytics

When you visit a page on our site, we record some information, such as the url of the pages you viewed and the website where you found the link. These logs include your device's IP address in a hashed form, meaning if someone had access to our logs, it would be hard for them to figure out your IP address, but if they already knew your IP, it would be easy for them to check if you visited this site. If you have concerns about privacy, we recommend using a VPN or privacy-focused browser to limit or falsify the data we store.

Data you provide

We may also collect information if you explicitly provide it to us. For example, if you send us an email, we will collect your email address, associated profile information, and the contents of the email so we can respond. This data will be retained until it is no longer needed (such as when the email conversation ends).

Questions

If you have questions or concerns about the practices described in this policy, you can contact us at privacy@pedophile.help and a member of our team will reach out to you.
